After the women developers were accused of using an unfair advantage, feminists said this was nothing but standard issue misogyny on the part of male developers. This eventually led to charges of outsized amounts of political correctness being insinuated into various games.
Could that be the tie-in to women SF writers?
Social justice warriors in the scifi industry have:
* successfully applied SJW standards to several industry awards, so if you don’t match their political checklist, you have no chance of winning
* “diversity readers” are being adopted by many publishers where devout SJWs read the works and speak for their demographic group and say “this is offensive, rewrite or we’ll reject”
* conservative writers male and female are being dis-invited from conventions and harassed online without penalty by those doing so
* liberal hate mobs often respond to a scifi author’s conservative statement in an interview or blog by organized downvoting campaigns for reviews, hurting sales indirectly and killing your SEO
