LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - A senseless act of random violence.
That's what Luis Campos's family said happened early Sunday morning outside a nightclub in Las Vegas, leading to his death.
Campos was visiting Las Vegas from La Puente, California. He was celebrating his brother's impending marriage. Police said Campos was standing in line to get inside the nightclub when two men approached him and an argument ensued.
One of the men threw a punch at Campos, knocking him to the ground and causing his head to hit the pavement. It was that punch that killed Campos, a husband and father of five children.

A single punch can be deadly. There are hundreds of cases.
Hopefully the perps will be prosecuted and convicted. The judge needs to show no mercy in sentencing for this kind of behavior.

Yep, I used to work with a guy who was as pleasant a person as you would ever want to meet. One day someone walked up to him and punched him in the head. No one ever knew who did it or why. Even him; he had no memory of it. He didn't come back to work for six months, and when he did, it was like he'd had a lobotomy. Clearly he didn't remember me, though he tried to act like he did. The personality, intelligence everything about him was gone. He was a completely different person.
Based on the security camera clips the two men who assaulted the victim seemed to be Hispanic in origin.
Hopefully they are caught and brought to Justice.
This would be good for all parties. The criminals don't want to face the Final Justice on the other side of the grave without having repented on this side...

I wouldn’t think judges in Las Vegas would be that sympathetic to the victim, but hopefully I am wrong.
Offer a fat reward, “friends” of the murderer will squeal like pigs for the right price.

I knew a guy that was killed with one punch back in 80s. He was drunk, got in a scuffle in a bar, they got tossed, they met up in parking lot, he got dropped with one shot and cracked his head on concrete.
Getting sucker punched is bad. A man in our neighborhood took his twin girls to a concert. Somehow he passed out (not from any drinking or anything), he just got light headed. He hit his head on the cement. Now he can’t work, he has gained a bunch of weight and he cannot concentrate at all. It is so sad for him and his family.
I tell people, ‘Protect your head!’ Don’t worry if you lose a limb.
