Those seagulls are crafty buggers. There is a bike path by the ocean in Long Beach CA that is lined with cliffs covered with ice plant. The seagulls would grab these big snails that lived on the cliffs and then hover over the concrete bike path and drop the snails onto the bike path to crack the shells, then swoop down and grab the soft tasty insides. Some days I would ride through there and the path was covered with snailshells, and if you weren’t careful, they would drop them on your head. I’ve never heard of them trying to crack and eat kittens though!

I have seen them land on sea otters, then steal food right out of the otter’s paw.

“Those seagulls are crafty buggers”

They sure are! Many years ago, while walking through Epcot with my daughter’s family, a seagull flew by and snatched a French fry right out of my grandson’s hand.

Talk about bold!
