I never worked in TV. But I did study broadcast journalism in the 70s and was a newsreader/ reporter for KPFK. weather girls were the only related issue but I don’t remember skirts being one. That said, I am attracted to but distracted by bare arms as well as bare legs. Most on air women are very smart and talented reporters, especially on business channels were I hang out. Old fashion me prefers jackets and ties on the men
I never became the broadcast meteorologist I thought about, though I was very qualified.

A young, female, progressive I know always wears dresses or skirt suits to work (unless it’s bitter cold outside, in which case she appears to wear leggings). For some it really is just a choice.
