I Got My Towel & My Guide....(Vanity)

If it were possible to go back in time without fear of this paradox or that paradox; to simply go back in a mode that is totally only observation, it would certainly be entertaining. As well as answer many questions.

Such as, how often are Darwin awards really awarded? How many people suffered cashew poisoning before figuring that one out, or say licked ‘dart’ frogs for a high. By the way do not do this, most ‘dart’ frogs will kill you. It really sucks I feel I have to make a “warning label” about the preceding comment regarding ‘dart’ frogs, after a comment about Darwin Awards, think about it. Remember humanity is the species that produces movies such as ‘dumb & dumber’, not only that, we asked for sequels. Look at the current ‘crop’ of property/car insurance advertisements, need I say more.

Humanity, H. sapiens, humans; they are the most interesting organism that the ‘Gaia-DNA-nano-program’ has created. Here is a interesting thought what if a conscious, intelligent, decision making entity did exist? What if Gaia did exist? Keeping in mind, in my opinion, computers, no matter how android/borg-ish they get; will not be on the same level as humans, until they can make a ‘wild ass guess’ based on totally no information or form an irrational opinion; “Mythology and climate science, for a $1,000, Alex.” Once a computer or android/borg-ish thing can do this, who cares. In the end, the damn thing is gonna be whining for this ‘right’ or that, and some dumb ass human is gonna want to marry it.

Really, when one truly and intently studies history. One finds many reasons to cease such a study, seek out a rock and crawl under it, with the hope that a space-going species never stumbles across humanity. I have never been so embarrassed in my life and I was a real prick. Anyway, back to that stunning and wonderful mother of mankind, Gaia, a lady for all seasons, climates and weathers, well I guess she kind of does own them; anyway.

Yes, assuming such an intelligence does exist and in fact has a purpose, a goal, an ‘end game’ so to say. Hummmm, makes you wonder, where in the chain of events do we, humanity, stand? When based on every era in the past, we can examine; some say that already 90% of the organisms ever created by Gaia, no longer exist. Something to do with ‘food chains’, maybe. Odds for us, are not looking good, even if H. sapiens has been around for a million years, it is not a long time. So for mankind we must assume, intelligence for intelligence, “mother knows best”; therefore we ought to get serious about getting out of the nest, before we get thrown out or eaten by the next ‘human consuming’ organism Mother decides to come up with.

Now for the conclusion and possibly for a few, something to keep you awake at night. I have recently been doing some research on the pioneers and current men/women responsible for the current advancements in astronomical observation and theory, cosmology etc; (damn is it terrible we can’t call them scientists anymore. I mean it feels like the word ‘scientist’ has been violated by liberals). Anyway many times I assume general information is disseminated and known among the population, an obviously erroneous assumption on my part. For example, I believe if the general population are truthfully taught to understand the time frames and limitations of being ‘planet bound’, a new eagerness for space exploration would ensue. The most major of “Black Swan” events; rocks from space. That is the risk to the entire human species, regardless of belief system. The physics involved with making the solar system did not change when the Sun ‘lit up’. This system we live in is old enough to have removed most of the lighter materials in the ‘main’ or inner portions of the system. However, we are still young enough that the dangers from others playing with rocks close to them or ‘run-aways’ can pose a danger we will not be able to hide from. Most know of the asteroid belt, but most do not know that as many rocks occupy the orbit of Jupiter. The word of the day is ‘Perturbation’. So the point is in final words. Humanity has been able to develop the ways and means of leaving the rock long ago. Sure a trip to Mars or Venus or whatever sounds like a long time. Humanity, until recently when TV and electronics entered our lives, were the most adventurous creatures to ever be deposited, or climb out of the ooze, in the solar system (the last is an pretty easy bet so far). Long and dangerous trips are part of our nature otherwise we would still be in caves wondering when the fire-god was going to warm us. I am sure if humanities focus was changed to the thrill of exploration again we would benefit as a species.

It would appear you are practicing philosophy without a license. Maybe even western philosophy which is verboten. That may get the attention of authorities.

This will lead you to question.

Who is man?

Where did he come from?

Where is he gong?

What is the purpose of Man.

You propose that mans purpose is exploring. I would propose that exploring happens while on a bigger quest. I will let you do your own thinking on what that bigger quest is.

Humanity, H. sapiens, humans; they are the most interesting organism that the ‘Gaia-DNA-nano-program’ has created. Here is a interesting thought what if a conscious, intelligent, decision making entity did exist? What if Gaia did exist?

Well, someone wrote the code in the DNA molecule. The more one studies life at the cellular level, the more one realizes that Darwin's theory of natural selection is woefully inadequate to explain how such complicated organisms came to be.

It simply could not have happened by chance.

Consider this: it takes roughly 150 precisely arranged amino acids to produce the most basic single celled bacterium that we know of. Those amino acids must be aligned in an exact ordered sequence. It's a code of sorts, and not a single amino acid can be out of place, or you don't get an organism.

Evolutionists would have us believe that over millions of years, random couplings of amino acids finally produced a combination of the exact right number, in the exact right sequence, that perfectly coded itself to produce the simplest bacterium there is.

Imagine a slot machine with 150 wheels on it. How many times would you have to pull the lever to hit the jackpot? And if you did hit the jackpot, what is the mechanism that would provide the pay-out (life)?

Even scarier for evolutionary biologists is the fact that that single celled critter has a fully developed DNA strand within it. Did those amazingly complex instructions just self assemble?

And we're only talking about the simplest form of life we can identify. Multi celled critters are more complex by orders of magnitude, to say nothing of plant and animal life.

The more scientists observe and understand the workings of life at the cellular level, the more they're having to face the fact that living things had to have been intelligently designed.

Yes. It has crossed my mind that DNA may be the finest example of nano-technology ever developed.
