CA's weirdos in their state government will take all their water for some slimy worm...
I did not know that the avocado was such a boon for the Mexifornia economy. I will have to remenber to avoid avocados from now on. After all I agree with the “buy American” philosophy and I no longer consider California part of America.
I planted my own avocado tree 2 years ago. I think it’s finally gonna give me a few avocados. They’re one of my fave foods.
Now we have to learn how to pick a good one all over again
About 3-4 months ago, Aldi’s had some large avocados from Mexico at 69-cents each. They had a sticker — guaranteed ripe — even though the skins were very green.
I bought some. They were soft inside. They did have a slight ‘off’ taste and texture, however. I figured they were chemically treated somehow.
They have not had them back in stock.
My low carbing always goes better when I eat a lot of avocados. I would love to see the prices go down.
Tiny little things. Get a Fla. avocado, a Pollock, the seed is about the size of a Hass.

There are several Fla varieties that are really good, Brooks, Trap (fall and winter) Delish...
Had one called a Cuban avocado, purple skin, outer flesh has purple tint. Large and really, really delicious.
They used to prevent importing Fla. avocados into CA. Wonder why. :^)
Plety of avocados Fallbrook, San Diego Cpunty
Until NAFTA, Mexican avocados could not be imported, period.
More winning
Anyone who knows me knows that if I ever win the big one I will buy myself an avocado ranch in California so I can eat them and sell them and eat them and have enough money to pay CA taxes.
Nick, thanks, excellent news thanks for posting!
My doctor wanted me to lower my cholesterol by prescribing Liptor. I told him to give me a month and see if I could lower it with diet and exercise. I started walking for 1/2 an hour a day and tried to eat an avocado a day (and gave up lunch meat.) The result was a 20% reduction in whichever cholesterol level it was that bothered him so much.
Avocados are great. I love them! more is always better.
