Alec Cabacungan may never play football himself but he lived out a sports dream Thursday: He got to interview several NFL draft prospects when the players visited Shriners Hospital for Children-Chicago.
Cabacungan, 12, of Oak Park, is a patient at the pediatric hospital in Elmwood Park and has been diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta, which makes his bones so brittle that he has had about 50 fractures.
On Thursday, his focus was on Leonard Williams, Melvin Gordon and Landon Collins, asking them about their childhood influences, favorite plays and superhero alter egos. For the record, Williams and Gordon both chose The Hulk.

Shriners are exemplary; one of the best. Good for those players, great for the kids. :-)
This is awesome- I had the blue angels visit when i was in hospital as a kid- gave me a signed poster- made a huge impression on me- and these folks will make a huge impression o nthe kids they visit- they may even make lifelong friends in the deal as well- glad to read this story this am
