ESPN will lay off around 100 of its on-air and online anchors, reporters and analysts today, sources tell THE DAILY. So far, no specific names have been confirmed; they are expected to start becoming public this morning. ESPN is not announcing officially who is getting let go. Most of the people who are being laid off are not based in Bristol, which means much of the talent will learn their fate via a phone call. Execs making those calls this morning include Senior VP/Event & Studio Production Stephanie Druley, Senior VP/SportsCenter & News Rob King and Senior Coordinating Producer Seth Markman.

I used to like them until they became MSESPN. I hope the company loses its shirt.
Don’t watch Sportscenter any longer. I DO listen to Mike & Mike but can’t stand Lebetard or the other radio shows any longer. Much prefer FS1 as they don’t seem to be so socially driven.
Gee. I wonder why they are having so many problems . . . . .
Tears falling profusely. /sarcasm
Cut the cord last year, don’t miss it at all. Amazon fire TV and a $16 HD antenna work just fine. Plenty of other choices.

Stock holders, if they’re paying attention, should be making it perfectly clear that no one that panders, in any way, shape or form, to the SJWs in particular or the left in general should be allowed anywhere near company management or board of directors.

Mixing sports and politics. Not a workable combo. The average viewer isn’t interested in their political views and doesn’t want to hear them.
I’m hoping the go alphabetically, starting with “A”, as in “Stephen A” something or another.

The ESPN apparatchiks mixing sports and politics won’t be fired. Guaranteed.
How can this be happening when they decided the most important NFL draft prospect in 2015 was Michael Sam, who thrilled the ESPN producers by smooching with his boyfriend on camera? Viewers never heard of Michael Sam again, as he was a total washout.
Hopefully, all the idiot producers, who specialize in sob stories and gossip when sports fans just want to watch the games, will get their pink slips today. Then they can tell their own sob story.
We have a local kid who went from doing NASCAR fan reporting to being an ESPN guy. I hope they don’t cut him.
How did that hard turn to the left work out for you, ESPN? Don't worry, laid off workers. Your BOSSES are still raking in big money. Welcome to the hypocrisy of the liberal millionaires.

You are right, Ed Werner never mentioned a political word on air in all his years. He worked out of Dallas. And a white guy.
