A self-confessed 'diva' bride who got engaged after giving her boyfriend an ultimatum insisted on not one but two lavish ceremonies. Marketing manager Aysha Aziz, 24, and Royal Marine Tom Ellis, 27, who live in Bromley, South London, first met seven years ago when she was just 16, and celebrated their marriage at two separate weddings that set Aysha's father back £30,000.

Every Indian wedding I’ve attended has been a pretty lavish affair. But this woman is clearly over the top high maintenance. She’s fortunate she has a well-to-do father.

The “two ceremonies” deal doesn’t have to be outlandish. I went to a simple wedding and the bride was Chinese. After the church wedding, she changed into a traditional red Chinese dress at the groom’s parents’ house where the reception was held.

i once attended three weddings for a friend... one catholic for baltimore friends. one greek orthadox for his family. and one in the brides home town in jersey...
as a poor college kid at the time, i could only afford one gift, but enjoyed the ceremonies tremendously.
Oh Tom. It’s going to be a very long and aggravating life for you. My advice is to start chowing down on fish and chips, washed down with a few pints, and let yourself put on a few pounds. That will send the diva out the door sooner and you can get on with a normal life. OTOH, if you’ve put up with her this long, you must like being a subservient house boy.
