Mmmm! Sounds great! What region is that from? I lived amongst Neapolitans, Sicilians and Abruzzese. The big thing in that neighborhood was the ricotta easter pie made either like a cheesecake, or in a pan with piecrust, or formed with an aluminum mold into a lamb, which was then iced. My close friend's recipe is flavored with a touch of lemon zest.
Campania as far as I know. Maybe a few surrounding regions. My mother's family came from Alta Villa outside of Naples and Teggiano which is near Salerno.
I make a lamb cake every Easter. :)
