Trump Budget Eliminates Federal Funding for 19 Agencies

In addition to reducing spending from several large government entities such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the State Department, President Donald Trump's proposed first budget calls to eliminate federal funding for 19 federal agencies, for a total of $3 billion in cuts.

Some of the agencies, such as the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts, are relatively well known, while others benefit foreign countries and are, in many cases, holdovers from former presidencies.

"Consistent with the President’s approach to move the nation toward fiscal responsibility, the budget eliminates and reduces hundreds of programs and focuses funding to redefine the proper role of the federal government," a blueprint copy of Trump's "America First" budget says.

The agencies to lose their federal funding include: the African Development Foundation; the Appalachian Regional Commission; the Chemical Safety Board; the Corporation for  National and Community Service; the Corporation for Public Broadcasting; the Delta Regional Authority; the Denali Commission; the Institute of Museum and Library Services; the Inter-American Foundation; the U.S. Trade and Development Agency; the Legal Services Corporation; the National Endowment for the Arts; the National Endowment for the Humanities; the neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation; the Northern Border Regional Commission; the Overseas Private Investment Corporation; the United States Institute of Peace; the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness; and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

It's a fine start. We should definitely sell the federal buildings that formerly housed those agencies so no new cockroaches can move in. And we can use the proceeds to help pay for the fence and tax cuts.

People would be shocked to know the number
of federally owned buildings that are empty
and still require security guards.

How did you leave the 20 trillion dollar deficit out of your “to do” list? :)

I fear even “conservatives” have gotten used to deficit spending.

If there is NO deficit, then we can proceed to spend on things and cut taxes.

20 trillion is a lot.

Slash and BURN so that there is enough for the wall, tax cuts and the debt.

IMHO.

Interesting.

They’ve all got hundred million dollar budgets except one.

The Clinton Administration’s “AmeriCorps” which spent $1.1 billion providing 80,000 people work.

the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

Liberals and the Democrats will especially go nuts about this one.

CPB is their own little Federally funded propaganda arm, and they are not going to let it go easily.

I had never heard of the Denali Commission until this article.

So how is it that the federal government has to spend money on the infrastructure of Alaska's more remote communities? That's for Alaska to manage it seems.

How much other largesse is hidden away in the federal bureaucracy?

You know they are not going to give up with out a fight.

You also know that a government shut down is in our future.

I say good.

Those that want to keep going into debt to pay for more and more big government are willing to cause Americans pain to keep what they have.

In other words, extortion.

I hope President Trump is strong enough to resist compromising with these weasels.

National Endowment for the Arts? Corporation for Public Broadcasting? Please let it be so.

A government shutdown is a very good thing. It gives us a chance to prove what we have always said, that most of what government does we can happily live without. When they “shut down” the government, they only shut down the “non-essential” parts of the government. And it is precisely the “non-essentials” we need to demonstrate that we don’t need and don’t need to be funding.

I don’t but I think we need to take a very close look at that. These agencies are nothing but job spoils for socialists.

Losing federal funding: the African Development Foundation.

Too bad, Obama (smirk).

==============================================

(hat tip Kenya Sunday Standard)

DID PRESIDENT OBAMA ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING FOR HIS HOMELAND?

<><> 2 billion US tax dollars to the Muslim Brotherhood,

<><> $50 million US tax dollars to his tax-exempt foundation in the form of a grant to Kenya.

<><> Total US Foreign Aid to Kenya (FY 2012): $749,236,440

<><> $418M arms sale to Kenya

=================================================

US TAXPAYERS PAY NOW---Obama collects later. Can you say kickback? Obama's federal outlays (that we know of):

<><> The Iran-Nuclear Agreement, considered by many to be “The worst agreement in U.S. diplomatic history”… certainly an accomplishment that rates high on the progressive list of ex-president Obama’s “successes”.

<><> Bags full of secret cash and gold to Iran.

<><> $2 billion funding to half-brother Malik's organization---the Muslim Brotherhood,

<><> $50 million to Malik/Barack's tax-exempt foundation in the form of a grant to Kenya.

<><> While the Muslim Brotherhood was in charge in Egypt, Obama (and Hillary) showered them w/ praise.....and billions of US dollars in aid, arms, tanks and planes.

<><> Obama gave $90 million US tax dollars to wealthy oil-rich Muslim African Muslim countries.

<><> govt employee, Cheryl Mills', (cough) development in Sub-Sahara Africa.

<><>Obama's State Dept under Hillary blanketing Cameroon, Morocco and other African Muslim countries w/ billions of our tax dollars.

==========================================

MASSIVE GOVT LOOTING

<><>Remember "compassionate" Michelle talking about "teaching Muslim girls"? Obama sent Michelle off to oil-rich Muslim Quatar w/ $73 million US tax dollars "to teach Muslim girls."

<><> Recently, he gave her 100 million dollars to give Muslim Morocco "to teach Muslim girls" (the 100 million to be held by, and doled out by, the Obama Foundation).

=====================================

Can you say kickback?

Obama pledges $7 billion to upgrade power in Africa

Yes, and we should sell or auction off the millions of acres of government property to start paying down the federal deficit. The Feds own about 35% of the land in the country that is just sitting there, of no productive use.
