Someone paying for a car with 14k cash is LIKELY committing a crime or an utter moron.
Most likely. Only very old people and criminals do not use banks.
Not necessarily. It can be the surest way not to get ripped off.
We sold a car on Craig’s list. The buyer paid cash. Close to $9K.
We did the transaction in a bank, where the bills were counted and verified and deposited in our account. And there was a notary there for us to sign over the title and bill of sale.
Having over 10K in cash is reason enough for police to seize your money.
Stupid remark. Your way off on this one

That’s not always the case. We still laugh about my father-in-law buying his house in the early 70’s. He went to close the deal at an attorney’s office with a brown paper bag filled with one hundred dollar bills...120k.
He (now deceased) was an old timer and didn’t believe in credit.
My late father never took out a car loan. He always bought new vehicles. Cash.
If he couldn’t afford something, he wouldn’t buy it.
Learned a lot from my Dad.
I don't agree with your statement at all. Not everyone with cash is a crook, and you always get the best deals when you walk into a dealership with cash. Getting a car at the best price is smart.
Oh horse shit! Why does everyone think that people that pay cash are doing anything illegal??? You need to travel out of NYC and see how the rest of the country lives!
Bull Butter! Lots of folks pay with cash.....and plenty of it. Regretfully someday this will not be possible. I would guess within the next generation.
