The US military has dropped an enormous bomb in Afghanistan according to four US military officials with direct knowledge of the mission.
A GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs" (MOAB) was dropped in at 7 p.m. local time Thursday, sources said.

I was around 28 miles away when they tested that bomb at Eglin. I was hoping to feel or at least hear it but nothing at all.

We have a very large arsenal - not counting the WMDs - and are reminding some in the world that it’s no big deal to us to expend a good chunk of it for minor gain. ...that vs those, being reminded, may have some strong stuff but very little of it.
