A craving for the Golden Arches that ended with a little boy taking his sister for a ride in his dads van to get a cheeseburger on Sunday, according to KTLA sister station WJW in Cleveland.
The childrens father had worked all day and went to bed early, while their mother was on the couch with them when she fell asleep, East Palestine police officer Jacob Koehler told the station.
Thats when the 8-year-old boy took his fathers work van and left the home to take his sister to McDonalds.
The child reportedly drove about a mile through four intersections and over railroad tracks during the joyride. Witnesses told police the boy obeyed all traffic laws and drove the speed limit, according to the report.
Once the boy and his sister arrived at McDonalds, a family friend called the childrens grandparents. The children were able to finish their cheeseburgers before police arrived.
The 8-year-old told police he learned to drive by watching YouTube videos.
No one was injured. The case remains under investigation.
Many years later...we foumnd out that my dad had done the same thing when he was a little buck.
Check the family history of this kid. ;-)

Completely believable.
that kid’s a star
Love the resilience and can-do attitude.
(Have the kid watch Feynman Lectures...)
Did they use the drive through, did they park in the lot and go in, did the McD’s staff get involved?
Lots of unanswered ? for me.
You could design a really good home school curriculum just by using youtube videos. You’d probably want to get NetNanny though.
youtube baby!
I learned to do heart surgery on youtube.
You had better contemplate that for a while and let us know what you decide they did.
Agreed. This is one brave little boy.
And did they use a coupon? Cash or charge?
No sex education in the curriculum?
Not enough info sorry
Good questions....

Maybe it was a regular thing and he finally got caught ?
I think the parents were trashed and he has had some practice driving the dads van.
I predict success in the future for this kid. He’s a let’s make it happen type.
“Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger. No Coke, Pepsi.”
I predict success in the future for this kid. Hes a lets make it happen type.

Yep. Personal initiative.
Some years ago in the Cleveland area, a 5 yr old boy woke up and felt like taking his grandma’s car for a ride.A few blocks later he crashed and the airbags deployed at 200 mph, killing him.
