Actually, both sides used incendiary bombs during WWII which could have technically been classified as “chemical weapons”.

Infact gun propelling bullets via chemical explosives would be a chemical weapon.

For the sake of military combat a chemical weapon is a pretty well-defined ...its toxic chemical agent
