OK...you have a president who was the subject of an assassination attempt by her own government...Duh....why is it totalitarian to round up a few dozen suspects for questioning? I would hope some would be.
Nothing is wrong with rounding up suspects. But it was implied in the show that the people arrested were not involved in the conspiracy, and not at risk of fleeing if further questioning was needed.
Even so, this was just a side issue for me. Temporarily detaining a few too many suspects could be understood as a slight overreaction. My big complaint was that the U.S. government was the enemy in this one, and the jihad-lovers were “innocent” victims.
It’s beyond unreasonable.
I didn’t agree with Rush either...
this season if at all believable is an expose on conspiracy theories, the intelligence community role as the fourth arm of the government and the deep state.
Let’s be clear... Hollywood wrote this when they thought Hillary would be the obvious victor in November.
So anything they produced would clearly be fiction, right? Considering this is leftwing Hollywood, one would assume that the intel community that offers consultation support to the show helped create this scenario that would only have come true if say Trump was elected, and they knew that was not going to happen.
Yet, what we have is a prescient piece of fiction, describing future events a bit too close for my liking.
I’m also not convinced the assassination attempt was anything ore than a rouse to assist the President in making certain decisions regarding security... we certainly see the firings and security tightening.
And Rush is missing the point on the whole the muslims didn’t do it.... isn’t because the show has gone pro muslim, the story is literally that the deep state is creating chaos to affect policy.
I found this season disturbing, where Carrie is left unsure of who if any good guys exist.
They have ruined the show for me. I loved every
other season. But now even Homeland had to be
PC. Besides that, did they get new writers?
It was so stupid.

Watched the season finale last night.
IMO much of what has happened parallels the Pres. Trump presidency.
The protests, the “not our president” signs and chants.
The infighting with the intelligence community.
The sad part is the death of my favorite character, Peter Quinn.
How can the show go forward without the irreplaceable Quinn?
