Why ‘Girls’ Made Us Hate Millennials
New York Post ^ | April 8, 2017 | Jennifer Wright

“Girls” comes to an end on April 16 after six seasons, and it’s time to bid bye-bye to the best show about the worst of my generation. The HBO dramedy, created by then-24-year-old writer/actress Lena Dunham, brilliantly tackled difficult issues from abortion to sexual assault . . . while also making an entire pack of millennials look like loathsome narcissists.

The cast of characters on “Girls” were remarkably, unbelievably awful. If you met a single character from the show in real life, you would be talking about how self-destructive they were . . . forever.

That’s true whether it’s Jessa, who deals with her sadness by offering sex to a stranger in the bathroom of a bar, or Marnie, who married a man who consumed an entire bottle of OxyContin every day.

Also made a lot of men realize they didn’t want anything to do with American women.

As I had a friend describe “Girls” to me once, think of “R -Rated” version of Seinfeld...if the entire cast has hate-able and unfunny.

” created by then-24-year-old writer/actress Lena Dunham, brilliantly tackled difficult issues from abortion to sexual assault”

Yeah... Breel yunt.
Meaning it was complete leftist pap and propaganda, painted men in a bad light, made poor choices by the female characters the fault of the men, etc.

I’ve never seen a single minute of this show. And I hope I never do.

Didn’t think Seinfeld was funny either.

Made it five minutes into the first show. That’s when I turned to Mr Kitty and said “If that were my kid, I’d smack across her smug, fat face.” (Talking about the Lena Dunham character - complaining to her parents that she didn’t need a job and that they should continue to support her)

I still want slap her smug, fat face.

It’s a good show, as long as you realize that it is merciless satire and not mere self-indulgence.

I do not “hate,” and I find the use of the idea juvenile, and not conservative in any respect.

In every age there are those that mean to be your masters. They say they will be good masters, but that is not important to them. They only mean to be YOUR masters. Millennials have made it obvious that they mean to be our masters, THAT is why we hate them.

I’ve never seen a minute of Girls or Seinfeld and probably never will unless I’m placed in a reeducation camp. I don’t hate millennials but think a lot of them or clueless idiots apparently.

I thought only elites watched HBO.

Am I wrong?

Come on, fess up. Do you pay good money to watch TV from the view of the elites?
