low cost of living, gun friendly.
Stay away from big cities, go semi rural. Sounds a lot like E. Tenn.

Flagstaff, Santa Fe, Carson City, Salt Lake City, Nashville, Louisville, Galveston, Gulf Coast, Raleigh, Columbia. Nothing north of the Mason Dixon line. I would refer a 55+ community in those cities.
