Where is the responsibility of these adults; why do they continue to breed when they can’t afford to feed etc. what they have...it seems to be a disease of the impoverished as well as the irresponsible.

Playing ‘Devils Advocate’, going back to LBJ and his ‘Great Society’ which ‘invented’ the single mother on her own as the ‘GS’ ended up in breaking up the family and a couple of decades of no MALE supervision in far to many homes.
Add that to the continuous importation of ‘laborers’ - not that any of these types would work at a ‘typical’ job,
The ‘thug element’ taking over the schools and ostracizing those that may want to work at learning something.
School agendas aimed more at how to ‘feel good’ that pump underqualified students into a world they are not prepared for.
‘Rs’ don’t want them to keep reproducing when the ONLY means of support is welfare, food stamps, some phonied up ‘illness’ or any other kind of Government ‘assistance’ BUT also not only fight abortion or free birth control but won’t vote for R pols that do.
Like I have said before, the side that favors killing unborn children is also against the killing of convicted murderers, while those that are against the killing of unborn are unwilling to provide support once the kid is born.
There is an answer in there somewhere but we definitely are not getting any closer to it.

This exact scenario happened to a friend of mine 15 or so years ago. The restaurant was closed and one of the employees left the back door open while hauling trash out back.
Thug came inside with a gun and pointed at my friend who was sitting at a desk. He kept a gun in the drawer beside him and that’s that the perp got instead of the cash.
He’d practiced and practiced pulling the gun out and into firing position. When it counted it worked.
Perp was shot though the cheek and out the jaw. Served 10 years.
