I met a college professor who taught a course in entrepreneurship, despite never have started a business or even had a job in the private sector. I discussed his class with him. Having started and run four businesses, I had to laugh. His notions of what an entrepreneur had to do were ridiculous. (Another word might be “academic,” which in this context is synonymous with ridiculous.)
I'm so glad I got my MBA from a private college. All of my professors were businessmen for whom teaching was a sideline. Classes were held at night.
