Kentucky has the best and worst fans in college basketball. Both of them in large quantities. More good than bad, definitely, but the bad is not an insignificant number.
When the Wildcats are eliminated in the NCAA tournament, guess which faction takes over? The lunatics. The freaks. The no-lifers whose sole coping mechanism is to lash out and blame someone because the young adults wearing their school’s jerseys lost a game to young adults wearing another school’s jerseys.
And their target is almost always the officials.

I’d give the guy my business if I lived in Kentucky. This could have that effect. Like Chic fil a a few years ago. They broke records with support after being assaulted by the left.

This sort of ruckus probably makes it difficult for the student athletes on Kentucky’s basketball team to concentrate on their studies.
My wife’s EX is a Dook fan...he got so mad after a UNC win over Dook that he broke the mirror off his OWN truck....ROFL
Dookies are arrogant aholes but I have never heard of one killing trees or trying to ruin the private lives of refs.

A lot of painting with a broad brush here. I’d venture a guess that it’s significantly less than 1% of all UK fans doing this.
Meanwhile, the same media pushing this story ignored when Katina Powell (the prostitute hired by UL staffer to provide hookers to players/recruits in on campus dorm) and her lawyer received death threats.
The same media ignored death threats toward UK players from UL fans.
The same media ignored death threats from North Carolina fans toward the reporter that uncovered the vast, 20 year academic fraud at the university that kept athletes falsely eligible.
That all being said, that less than 1% should be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Can’t condone their tactics at all, but the guy is clearly biased against Calipari and UK.
His officiating has cost them at least one championship and possibly more.
I can definitely understand why they are upset with him.
And will that childish behavior change the outcome? Of course not. This is a three-year-old’s temper tantrum displayed by 20 yr. olds. Not attractive, people.

Foul calls were almost even....19-KY...18-UNC...
John Higgins is here in Omaha. A little color in this column from our local sports columnist. This has gotten a lot of play in our local media. His company has a lot of advertising on our local Iheart station that carries Limbaugh.
Threatening?
In the early `80s I was in a bar near the University of Cincinnati with some friends watching UK play Louisville on the TV. This was one of those years where Louisville was a powerhouse. They were handily beating UK. I turned to my right and mentioned to a friend that Louisville was clearly better than UK. The next thing I knew I was on the floor with some drunk bozo raging in my face that UK “RULES!” He was wearing a blue mesh truckers cap that read “Eddie Sutton is a GOD!”
I’ve hated UK basketball since that moment.
Go back and rewatch the first half of the game.
His bias is blatant.
It is as bad as having someone from the MSM host a Presidential debate.
I have watched a replay of this game three times...It has been on CBSSports a couple of times every day...
It is as good as the first time...
