Every inmate who leaves a Big Apple jail after serving a sentence will have a job waiting for him or her, under a new city-funded initiative, Mayor de Blasio announced Wednesday.

When asked why ex-convicts were being guaranteed work over unemployed residents who haven’t broken the law — including city high-school and college graduates — Hizzoner insisted the initiative, which will cost taxpayers $10 million a year, is a “smart investment for everyone.”

I have been telling FReepers over and over again that the true constituents of the Dope from Park Slope, Mayor DumblASSio, are the ghetto thugs, criminals, and illegals, and to heck with the taxpayers---they're only around to bankroll his chosen people. His latest Commie redistribution of wealth---to the tune of $10 MILLION DOLLARS---is to promise ex-cons a city job. Now, we have plenty of hardworking decent people who are out of work, and I don't see this economy-sized imbecile doing anything like guaranteeing them a city job. Only ex-cons. So the guy who's been pounding the pavement for months and coming up with nothing for a job should maybe commit a crime, do the time, and THEN DumblASSio will give him a job, at last.

If an inmate was in for arson, DeBlowsio will give him a job in the NYFD.

If an inmate was in for burglary, DeBlowsio will give him a job managing city housing properties.

If an inmate was in for fraud, DeBlowsio will give him a job in the department of finance.

Memphis FORMER mayor Willie Herenton did, then the next one Whorton continued it, it has not succeeded. Many were from the Penal Farm which has a nearly 90% recidivism rate. They serve 30 days of a 11 month 29 day sentence. Most have between 20-50 what they call minor crimes each. He even hired one, within weeks idiot was back to business as usual...crime. Pay was better and he didn’t actually have to do anything but sell drugs.
