Every inmate who leaves a Big Apple jail after serving a sentence will have a job waiting for him or her, under a new city-funded initiative, Mayor de Blasio announced Wednesday.
When asked why ex-convicts were being guaranteed work over unemployed residents who havent broken the law including city high-school and college graduates Hizzoner insisted the initiative, which will cost taxpayers $10 million a year, is a smart investment for everyone.

This was the setup for Rudy to beat DINKins.
A sly republican can win this time.
Street savvy and willing to fight dirty
Down is up and wrong is right.
Used to be having a criminal record lowered your employment opportunities.
There is no so-called “white privilege”. There is no career boost when you are repeatedly told “need not apply” and “move to the back of the line”.
Plenty of out of work and underemployed HONEST Americans.
Yeah? Well, Starbucks just tried a similar trick, and see what happened to them!
The democrats version of the Zanu, P.F. Politicians have a need for loyal paid thugs from a prison culture.
$10 million in NY City dollars burns up quickly. To survive in the city, you need to make $60,000 a year....so that means 166 guys would be covered. Someone can correct me....but there’s probably 10,000 folks in the NY City area with some record. I don’t see how helping 166 guys does much.
His wife is a black lesbian Marxist (no, really). Now you know where half his wacky ideas come from.
Sounds like Clockwork Orange, where the government decides to “solve the crime problem” by giving convicts jobs...as police. That worked well.
Let me see. If an inmate was in for armed robbery, DeBlowsio will give him a job in the NYPD.
If an inmate was in for arson, DeBlowsio will give him a job in the NYFD.
If an inmate was in for burglary, DeBlowsio will give him a job managing city housing properties.
If an inmate was in for fraud, DeBlowsio will give him a job in the department of finance.
What could possibly go wrong?
Child sex exploitation crimes?
Thinking... maybe a pizza joint job?
Well, since we’re talking about city jobs, the NY child protection services would be the perfect place for DeBlowsio’s child rapist ex-cons.
Sooo.... anyone having a hard time finding a job just has to commit a crime. Sounds easy enough.
the answer is so simple, so obvious that it is almost to simple to answer.
most city high-school and college graduates are WHITE.
Most residents who have broken the law, are like his wife and 'son' black.
the poltical ruling class serve those they fear the most.
SO IN BIG BIRDS WORLD
THE WAY TO A JOB IS VIA RIKERS ISLAND....
WHAT AN FING SCUMBAG COMMIE TURD
Memphis has this utter FAILURE!
so if you want a job, just kill someone. Great message.
I heard there is an opening for a white social justice warrior in Washington D. C. if that will help.
Really? Someone’s actually tried this?
Memphis FORMER mayor Willie Herenton did, then the next one Whorton continued it, it has not succeeded. Many were from the Penal Farm which has a nearly 90% recidivism rate. They serve 30 days of a 11 month 29 day sentence. Most have between 20-50 what they call minor crimes each. He even hired one, within weeks idiot was back to business as usual...crime. Pay was better and he didn’t actually have to do anything but sell drugs.
I’ve 2 good ones for you, 1 will make you mad, the other is nonsense. Main forced MMJ medical use through. Now they punish the person who uses it for med reasons.
