this is over an hour and a half long, can you just tell us what it has to do with this article?
It is a very bad idea to carry a chambered semi-auto in a purse, rather than in a holster. You do NOT want any chance of some other object in your purse, like keys or lipstick, coming in contact with the trigger. Chambered semi-autos should ALWAYS be carried only in a hard-sided holster.
One other problem with purse carry, is that if a purse snatcher grabs your purse, now he also has your gun.
Gets exciting at about the three-quarters mark when an Occupy Amsterdam thug attacks Vincent with a shaving razor and lops off Vincent's ear.
But Vincent manages to pull a S & W .44 mag from his boot, blows the guy's head clean off his shoulders, and redeems the day by using the guy's bloody brainpan as a palette to complete his beloved masterwork...

Sure... If you like movies and need courage to use your gun, this is one to watch. The fact that it’s in Dutch is no matter. It’s about resistance. A woman learns to assassinate and in one episode the plan gets botched, and that is why you should carry with a round. Film buffs will recognize the quality.
Nothing pertinent for you.
I have a concealed carry pocket book. I don’t feel comfortable with a holster yet I am a newbie.
I have the gun in a holster in my bag. I am not comfortable with a holster on my body yet.

True. My Ruger LC9 has a quite easily operated safety. So I keep a round in the chamber.
However, my S&W .380 has a very difficult, stiff safety so I keep it off and the chamber empty. I could fix it, someday, but don't want to get involved in disassembling and modifying it so it works easier.
Works for either the SIG 229 or the Glock mod 20 I carry.
Highly recommend that you transition to on-body carry as soon as possible. Far easier to access and retain the weapon.
I can’t carry in my office so the gun stays in my car. I will make the transition when I feel comfortable. I don’t like the holster it feels like the gun can slip out it’s a soft material. I can practice when I do my walking I will clip the holster to my pants.
Love my Sig P 229 .357 sig, I’m going to be trading a H&K USP, for a Sig 225 A1 this week, although I’ve been jonesing on a Sig 229 Legion.
Mine is in. 40, but can be easily converted to .357 SIG. Basically a barrel change. Might consider it, but not until I get my reloading lab back up.
If you do, point of aim, will be different than point of impact, with the front sight post being the same. Not a big deal, but it will be different. I believe it’s a #6 vs a #8 front sight for the respective calibers.
A friend of mine is a police officer and he encourages people to not keep a round in the chamber on semi-auto. He says if you have an intruder in the house or other threatening situations, rack the round. If the person doesn’t immediately back off, you have a serious situation and shooting can justified as self-defense.
Not saying they shouldn’t carry hot, but often it isn’t allowed, except in certain circumstances.
No stovepipes or hot spent cartridges flying around, and totally dependable. Go hammerless and you’ve got an ideal conceal carry weapon (as long as you don’t need more than five or six shots to get the job done).
