Texas Republican Ted Poe Quits Freedom Caucus Over Their #NeverTrump Intransigence

Texas Republican Congressman Ted Poe has announced he is giving up membership in Hillary’s Favorite Caucus over their unwillingness to support President Trump:

“I have resigned from the House Freedom Caucus,” Poe said in a statement. “In order to deliver on the conservative agenda we have promised the American people for eight years, we must come together to find solutions to move this country forward. Saying no is easy, leading is hard, but that is what we were elected to do.

Congressman Poe’s exit from #NeverTrump leaves 29 remaining members.

Smart move. Association with the group that saved Obamacare is the kiss of death.

He’s right about the 8 years at the least to defeat the DC swamp in detail. It’s going to be a long fight.

I gotta tell ya, I’ve always liked Ted Poe. He’s one of probably a half-dozen Republicans I’d ever give a hoot for. I trust Rep. Poe and have for years going all the way back to his time as a Judge in Houston. Good man.....

I won’t forget soon their stubbornness will mean continued fines for people who have opted out.

The smell of more G'ment control in the morning must be exceedingly alluring to the RINO Ted Poe.

We will have to wait and see how this will play on the local Houston Radio shows in the next few weeks. My guess is there will be Major blow back against the Tedster

Pres. Trump already killed the mandate. That’s not an issue.

If Ryan’s bill had succeeded everyone who supported it would now be credited with saving 0bamaCare. And “improving” it.

The seeming win has gone to your head.

The concept of RINO is foolish in the face of a hand full of vindictive conservatives with no party to speak of.

With out the Republican party, there is no conservative agenda that will ever come to be

The freedom caucus killed the Obamacare repeal and left for spring break.

Some people out there still think they are working on the “clean” repeal. A year from now when these people are still getting crushed under Obamacare the freedom caucus will be tarred and feathered.

If he hates anything slightly conservative why doesn’t he officially become a Democrat. Poe is serving the progressive agendA anyway.
