--SNIP-- Trouble in transit, got through the roadblock,
We blended in with the crowd
We got computers, we're tapping phone lines,
I know that that ain't allowed

All the news about wiretapping, surveillance and the spin from the network "Talking Heads" remind me of this song. Ominous lyrics that are more relevant than ever.
Enjoy this classic from the Talking Heads.

I saw you were going late 70's today and that reminded me of this song from 1979.

Talking Heads - the band that was making 80s/90s “New Wave” in the late 70s!

New Wave began in the late 1970’s, with bands like Talking Heads and Blondie.
“Life During Wartime” is my all-time favorite Talking Heads song.

One of my favorite all time songs.
When it first came out, my reaction to the lyrics was that they were strange but it was a good song.
Today, the lyrics seem relevant and contemporary.

That brought back a lot of memories. I saw them in concert during that era. The show was fantastic. Minimal special effects but lots of energy and talent.
