Then why leak if you don't know. If it is a crime, then indict. There is no justification for leaking hearsay. What authority do they have for leaking raw data? This is bogus.

For this to result in an indictment of a Trump associate, that associate had to have some very definitive conversations with foreign agents, Russians or otherwise, which demonstrated that he did illegal actions. During the campaign Trump made no secret that he thought that the Russians had Hillary’s missing e mails that the Obama administration refused to identify or “find”. If a Trump associate were in contact with a foreigner who he thought might have access to those e mails is that a crime or merely opposition research.
