Netflix is beting stupid- they don’t have to buy the garbage that advertisers make broadcast, cable show now.
They should pick content their *subscribers* want instead.
That’s not really how the business works. All the stuff is owned by somebody, Netflix negotiates for blocks of content with the owners, sometimes the owners over value their property and Netflix declines. What’s making the market tougher is a lot of the owners are trying to make their OWN streaming service, so they don’t want to sell their content to anybody, thinking they’ll make more money directly.
