The prison inmate who pounded on Jared Fogle last year is getting rock star treatment — receiving fan mail and other forms of love from sex abuse victims and random people on the outside.
“I am writing to thank you for the beatdown you gave to Jared Fogle,” reads one of the countless letters sent to Steve Nigg since his January 2016 attack on the former Subway pitchman at their federal prison in Englewood, Colorado.
“I am proud of your stance on child molestation and your unwillingness to be tolerant towards them,” it says, according to TMZ.
“I was a victim of sexual abuse at a young age and wish I had someone like you in my corner back then,” the writer adds. “I am tossing $50 on your books. This is my way of saying thank you for standing up for the children that are victims to scumbags like Fogle.”
Nigg, who is serving a 15-year sentence for being a felon in possession of a gun, pummeled Fogle in the prison recreation yard. Authorities said he left the convicted child porn watcher with a bloody nose and scratches to his neck.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for Jared.
Too bad Fogles victims at the time of their molestation were not able to fight back. Anyone who sexually abuses a minor deserves no mercy.
Private citizen child molesters not only go to prison they get beat up and their assailants receive letters of thanks:

Must be a lib that wrote that. There’s always an “in this case” involved. When flattening tires on SUV’s, burning down “evil” businesses, beating up Trump voters etc.
I didn’t know one could access all their money and pay for bodyguards while in prison. Glad that Nigg was able to deliver a little justice on behalf of the children who were sexually abused. My only criticism is that he didn’t hit him hard enough and long enough.

I am not in favor of jailyard justice. I am in favor of our courts severely punishing child molesters, including the death penalty for any kind of penetrative molestation of any person below the age of puberty.

I agree with severe sentencing for Mo Lesters. At least 20 years for each count, served consecutively. However, I simply will not feel sympathy for such scum who undergo jailyard justice.
Who said anything about sympathy? The rule of law should be complete and should administer justice.
Years ago while working at a radio station and long before this scandal on Jarod broke, a broadcast engineer told me that he once had to handle Fogle for a radio engagement. The first thing Fogle asked him when he picked him up at the airport was something about the local strip clubs. The engineer said that Fogle was a sleazebag. I had no idea why this engineer was telling me this. Maybe he just wanted to see how I would react to smut talk. A couple of years later the scandal involving Fogle and sex with children came out. I thought about it and it came to me that Fogle was a very large man. Probably the closest he ever came to sex was internet porn. His interest in children probably stemmed from that. Again, I’m just guessing. I hope that he will get his comeuppance.
