LeBron James To LaVar Ball: ‘Keep My Family Out Of This’

LaVar Ball has done it again, he's ticked off yet another NBA superstar. This time, it's LeBron James firing back at the irritating father of UCLA freshman Lonzo Ball.

On Tuesday, James responded to LaVar saying his kids were in a better position to succeed long-term than LeBron's. James was having none of that and fired back:

I admire Mr. Ball for the passion for his sons, in a community where over 75% of children grow up without a father, but he looks like he stepped into it this time.

Thanks for posting and bringing Freeper attention to my team and the best player on that team: UCLA and (future NBA All Star) freshman Lonzo Bell.

UCLA has made the Sweet 16 in this years NCAA playoffs and I highly recommend watching UCLA/Lonzo highlights on YouTube. UCLA may not win the tournament but they are miles ahead of their competition when it comes to entertainment value.

And Lonzo? You gotta see this guy. Could be another Steph.

I agree. Watched the game Sunday night and he is a real natural. His vision of the floor is incredible, and those threes. Wow. He is going to be a monster.

Lonzo Ball is a point guard at UCLA and will be a multi-millionaire within a few months, as he's expected to be taken early in the NBA draft. His father LaVar Ball is a classic stage parent, micro-managing his kids athletic lives, meddling with their coaches and making endless, ridiculous statements comparing his college playing son with a two-time NBA MVP and claiming that he himself could have beaten Michael Jordan one-on-one.

There's also a very ugly story that LaVar Ball's wife - the mother of Lonzo and two other younger basketball-playing sons destined for UCLA - had a severe stroke in late February, and LaVar has forbidden his sons from visiting her in the hospital because it might damage their brand and bring down unwanted publicity.

As long as he can comprehend that it is just a game and he is nothing more than an entertainer. AND the business will dump him in a heartbeat as soon as he can no longer perform. Preformance is on the court and to a lesser extent off the court. The paths to non-performance are drugs and celebrity distractions and/or injury, just beware.

Kentucky had their way with UCLA last night and like the first game they played this year Fox completely outplayed Ball. LeVar Ball and his look-alike sons remind of Herman Munster playing basketball. Lonzo Ball needs to go straight to the Harlem Globetrotters who put up with players that play lazy, which he does. He looks like to doesn’t even want to be on the court. The father’s bragging is over-the-top. He was a small time football and basketball player, trying to revive his failed career through his sons. What an embarrasment to his sons.

Probably because she’s as white as the driven snow and he’s your typical gangbanger who has raised his sons to be “black”, when they’re as much white as black. Has to keep the image up.
