Is this the character we saw that morning? Assumed he was a bum. Probably is.
So where was he carrying his drugs or hiding them, if he was naked?
Yeah.
Todd had a lot of talent but was completely screwed up by his dad wanting to live vicariously through his son.
I watched a Raiders game and they showed his dad going bonkers in the stands.
I told my wife then things wouldn’t end well.
There was a good “30 for 30” ESPN documentary about him and his relationship with his father growing up (and now as an adult). Did a good job of bringing out the humanity of each without ever excusing some of the things they did.
As for incidents like this. Todd is an addict, pure and simple (and in no way do I mean that to be an excuse for him). Per the documentary, this is what killed his career as much as anything his father did.
“nakedly trespassing”?
Once a flake, always a flake...
His dad helping him to become a QB was NOT harmful. What was harmful was his dad not applying the same emphasis on morality and Godly living.
Someone yelled “Go long!”
Maybe the 9ers could give him a tryout.
I am not surprised. His dad was the first known helicopter parent. Poor kid never had a chance. I cannot believe what I see at my kid’s swim meets and lacrosse games. Almost every delusional parent thinks their kid is going D1. First, if your kid isn’t the best kid to play that sport in the county in a generation, they’re probably not going D1 (Exceptions for sports like hockey in Minnesota or Lacrosse in Delmarva where other regions cannot compete). Second, unless they are a pitcher or a football player, you are dumping way more money into the sport then you will ever see in a scholarship. The best laxer in the country might...might...get a 1/4 ride. Just STFU, enjoy the game, and treasure the quality time with our kid before they are out the door into adulthood.
