A woman sentenced to weekends in jail broke the law when she tried to use a fake doctor's note to get out of it, according to arrest reports.
Marla Kay Davis is charged with felony common law obstruction of justice.
The 36-year-old Lincolnton woman was to report to Gaston County Jail for the weekend. Instead, she showed up with a note allegedly from her gynecologist saying she shouldn't go to jail that weekend. Police say the note was forged, and she was booked into jail on the new charge.
Davis was sentenced to probation with a split sentence for identity fraud a year ago, according to the N.C. Department of Correction website. She has been jailed twice this year on alleged probation violations and a count of school attendance violation.
She is now being held on a $160,000 bond.
Should not have signed it: “Epstein’s Mother”.
She should have gone to the ophthalmologist. After one look at that left eye he might have given her a note!
Apparently she is a US citizen. This is frowned upon for citizens.
Hopefully, this little transgression doesn’t interfere with her shot at class valedictorian.
Nice one!
I hereby award her gynecologist a purple heart!
From just looking at her, it’s entirely believable that she’d have gynecological problems.
What tipped them off?
