I don’t get why people celebrate this. Any government with power to expel gays also has the power to expel you when they decide they don’t much care for you either.

While I agree, I also understand the impulse to celebrate it. The Gaystapo has been so overt in repressing anyone they disagree with, this seems like push-back.

Of course, in the broader scheme of things, you are right.
