Tastes like carbonated buttermilk. The one time I had it I was traveling with a fellow from Louisiana. Turned out he couldn’t stand buttermilk and the taste of the airag almost made him puke. I was raised on buttermilk and had no problem with the stuff but wouldn’t exactly ask for a second glass. Supposedly, it’s extremely nutritious.
