Five reasons why Trump’s wiretapping claims aren’t crazy

President Trump leveled an unproven allegation this weekend that former President Barack Obama tapped his phones at Trump Tower a month before the election. News outlets are lamenting the lack of proof, with some pundits asserting Mr. Trump made up the entire affair as a way to vent his anger about Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from any ongoing Russian investigations. Most journalists are just dismissing the allegations as a lie. There are many reasons to question Mr. Trump’s charges, but still, there are many reasons to take them seriously. Below is a list of why some Republicans are wary at the Democratic response so far, and why Mr. Trump may have a point.

1. Wiretapping was essential in retrieving the conversations of retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and the Russian ambassador, which led to Gen. Flynn’s resignation as Mr. Trump’s national security adviser.

2. On Oct. 15, 2016, the BBC reported that the U.S. secret intelligence court issued a warrant to investigate two Russian banks in conjunction with the Trump Organization.

3. Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has lied about U.S. surveillance and wiretapping under oath.

3. Mr. Obama issued a carefully worded non-denial.

4. Mr. Obama expanded NSA’s powers in the days before leaving office.

5. Journalists readily believe the Trump-Kremlin international conspiracy to rig the U.S. election, but immediately put down the idea the Obama DOJ using FISA against Mr. Trump.

How it appears to me thus far: they attempted to use FISA to investigate a server that was corresponding with a Moscow based server belonging to Alfa bank. They applied for the first FISA warrant in June and were denied. They were told to narrow down their search and resubmitted the warrant in October specifically targeting the Trump server (which may or may not have been physically located in Trump tower).

Independent computer scientists (allegedly), became aware of the suspicious server activities in late July.

allegedly, they were looking for evidence of payments and no such evidence was found and yet the surveillance continued (like a fishing expedition). The existence of the two servers communicating with one another is/was not necessarily evidence of a crime let alone a FISA level crime.

The owner/founder of the bank in question, Mikhail Fridman is not regarded as overly friendly to Putin or Russian specific interests and is presently poised to invest billions into US healthcare. Putin had threatened to jail Fridman's partner Pyotr Aven, ten years back apparently.

Curiously, Pyotr Aven recently had invited Putin's former press minister and propagandist-in-chief Mikhail Lesin to Washington DC on the night that Lesin died a suspicious death (November 5th, 2015).

On October 28, 2016, after a year long investigation, Lesin's cause of death was ultimately described as follows: Mr. Lesin entered his hotel room on the morning of Nov. 4 … after days of excessive consumption of alcohol and sustained the injuries that resulted in his death while alone in his hotel room.. [he] died as a result of blunt force injuries to his head, with contributing causes being blunt force injuries of the neck, torso, upper extremities, and lower extremities, which were induced by falls amid acute ethanol intoxication The significance or insignificance is not known but it is curious.

Right after Trump and Melania came down the escalator on June 17, 2015, you just know Obama started full on surveillance of Donald Trump and used all the resources of the Federal government to do this. The issue will be to prove it. Hopefully, there will be whistleblowers in the NSA, CIA or FBI that will come forward with proof. You know Hillary, Valerie and Obama had a meeting, then called in Loretta Lynch and said go for it.

In June, 2016, Loretta told Bill, or vice-versa, (What difference does it make), “We better get a FISA request to cover our behinds.” So, they go through the motions, but it’s turned down. They’re covered though because if a FISA is in process, they can claim plausible deniability, or we’re applying for a new one later, working on it now.

In October, 2016, they panicked when they saw Trump might win. They watered down the FISA, left Trump’s name out, and applied again. This one was approved and Obama is smiling thinking, “Now I’m covered.” He was golfing and telling illegals to vote and probably didn’t even think he might be in trouble as he thought the deep state had guaranteed a Hillary win. Either way, he’s smiling and has plausible deniability, or so he thinks. He thinks he’s untouchable.

Hey Obama, No you’re not. What you did was unlawful, despicable, smacks of tyranny and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This behavior is not and will not be permitted by persons in power in these United States. You had multiple journalists, news organizations and foreign leaders under surveillance, Angela Merkel being one. This is not the Soviet Union or a Banana Republic. Your war on America is about to cease. Every movement, every call, every discussion in now being monitored by the full extent of the surveillance capability of the United States.
