3/5/17: Govan scrapyard fire near Ibrox stadium sends massive plume of smoke over Glasgow. Look at all the smoke. The wacko environmentalists will not be happy about this.
Even non-wacko conservatives won’t be happy with that sort of air pollution.
No air tankers?....or is it oil and water don’t
mix....don’t they empty the gas tanks and oil pans?
Lord knows what kind of great artifacts are
being burned up. A real shame.
Vehicle tires, removed from cars and trucks, are expensive to recycle and are a fiscal liability to salvage operations. The solution is to have a fire.

Glasgow should be put under martial law until it is figured-out if the Russians are involved.
A 15 minute video and no fire department response? Do they take Sunday off there? Maybe they can get on it Monday morning.
Sometimes the best response is to contain the edges of the fire and let the body of it burn itself out.
Case in point is a gasoline tanker truck. If you go spraying a bunch of water on it, you get more fuel running everywhere that is either on fire or leaving the scene looking for its next ignition source.
Case in point is the West Texas fertilizer plant that detonated and killed a bunch of fireman moments after the plant manager once again assured incident command that there was nothing to worry about. (water on ammonium nitrate)
Another is when there is no way you have enough resources to fight it.
It would be interesting to know what all is burning. They may be trying to figure that out right now.

dear environmentalists.....that is a junkyard fire.....we live on a planet which has many volcanoes......I promise that we will survive this fire.
