There's a video at the url with the story, which apparently was made by the guy who actually jumped.
Not sure I am commending this, since it might be completely illegal, but it sure makes a good video.

I know this guy personally, old dead cop friend of mine from a bygone time, when things were simpler. Used to stuff a cucumber down his pants to impress the women like Derek Smalls and Chris Squire. Anyway - heartening to see his ghost still patrols those hills.

Cool video. Fake? Possibly. I drove through the area recently and acknowledge that young people are completely bored in the suburbs. In and Out burger brings joy 2x a week but other times young people take risks. They should rock climb and snow board. Jumping like Evel Knievel is asking for trouble. Let’s see what other jumps the rider made.
