Aren’t AMD processors made by a Saudi Arabian owed company?
Thanks for the info. Now, off to beg the wife to upgrade my home machine.
I’ve been buying computers with AMD processors ever since Intel pressured the Boy Scouts to accept homosexuals.
AMD is publicly traded on the NASDAQ. If you have information otherwise, post it. The practice of making off the wall accusations disguised as questions is dishonest and reprehensible.
Speaking of reprehensible, Hillary Clinton must be prosecuted.
I think a few FReepers on this thread are Intel salesmen!
Now this is the chip I have been waiting for! I cannot wait to build my new system.
AMD ... Making Processors Great Again!
AMD is publicly traded on the NASDAQ.
...
And their stock price has done well recently.

Sorry to have upset you, just that I recall that AMD sold their Fabs to GlobalFoundries which was owned by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi some years ago to ward of bankruptcy and then entered into contract with them for production of its chips. A quick check from Google seems that Rizen may be made by Samsung apparently subject to stipulations made in the the contract they have with Global Foundries.
From AMD’s 2016 10 K
The Sixth Amendment also provides the Company a limited waiver with rights to contract with another wafer foundry with respect to certain products in the 14nm and 7nm technology nodes and gives the Company greater flexibility in sourcing foundry services across its product portfolio. In consideration for these rights, the Company agreed to pay GF $100 million in installments starting in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2016 through the third fiscal quarter of 2017. During the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, the Company paid GF $25 million. Starting in 2017 and continuing through 2020, the Company also agreed to make quarterly payments to GF based on the volume of certain wafers purchased from another wafer foundry.

That’s all I have to say. Have a good day.
