Yes McCain and Linda are definitely the Creatures from the Black Logoon.
By the way “Creature from the Black Logoon” was the scariest sci-fi movie I ever saw when I was a kid — I think it was a glimpse into the 21st century, no doubt.
“Alien” was the scariest for me, with creature from the Black Lagoon a close second ;)
