I enjoyed “Prometheus”. Perhaps the execution and plot did not meet the hype but the visuals were stunning. Left one asking questions in a good way.
Yes, people seem to forget that in the FIRST alien movie the skeleton they found in the crashed ship was really YUGE!............
Alien fan-boy here. I’m excited to see where this all goes and I like Prometheus a lot
I’m also a fan of the series who liked Prometheus.
“Yes, people seem to forget that in the FIRST alien movie the skeleton they found in the crashed ship was really YUGE!............”
Yeah, looked like one of the same “engineers” as seen in Prometheus.
Same only bigger..............
Prometheus was disappointing because they spent a trillion dollars to build the ship and hired the scientists off Craigslist.
Here is where I am confused. In Prometheus’ ending *STOP READING AS THERE ARE SPOILERS*...
... the Engineer ship crashes caused by collision with the Prometheus, carrying vials of the black goop used for mutation. We know the Trilobite impregnated the last surviving Engineer on the planet, spawning a Deacon. However, this was on LV-223.
Where does LV-426 fit into all of this? I know it’s another moon orbiting the same planet that the moon LV-426 is orbiting, but how is another Engineer ship involved causing it go down on 426 carrying the massive xenomorph egg payload? Where did the eggs come from?
Were they eggs harvested from LV-223, and the Deacon from Prometheus actually became a queen through molting? I think that would explain the presence of eggs on LV-223 in the second trailer, but the interaction between Xenomorphs and Neomorphs are what I am looking forward to. I bet the species hate each other.
MUCH bigger.
2x or 3x bigger.
They just ignored that in Prometheus.
I saw this move back in 1979 or so, when it was called "Alien". Buncha people go to an unfamiliar world and get eaten by a giant bug. It was sort of original, and scary, at least, to me as a kid.
Then, I saw it again in 1986 or so, when it was called "Aliens". Buncha military types go to an unfamiliar world and get eaten by a giant bug.
Then, I saw it again in the early 90s, when it was called "Alien 3". This was a slightly different premise, in that a giant bug goes to an unfamiliar world and eats a buncha people.
And so on. I've seen them all, even the execrable "Aliens vs Predator, Requiem", where a giant bug comes to Earth to eat a buncha people. It's like a car wreck, I can't look away. No...it's more like a 2nd cousin's wedding. I don't particularly want to go, but feel obligated.
Sigh.
I saw the preview and it’s a carbon copy of the last 18 alien movies. zzzzzzz. No reason to see it. Total lack of creativity. They phoned this one in
I liked Prometheus also and can’t wait to see this one1
When is someone going to reboot “The Waltons?”
Also series fan here, loved Prometheus. I’ve seen it many times now and own the blue ray.
I kinda wish some of the deleted scenes had been left in though.
You saw 1 through 3, noticed that you skipped 4 (Resurrection).
No biggie. Probably good if you did. That one was giant bug eats space pirates until ugly old chick has sex with giant bug, producing another giant bug that kills the other bug and gets killed by ugly old chick.
Yeah. Like you said, 2nd cousin’s wedding.
The next one had potential, they should have used the same director as in Aliens.
(if they did then I am surprised)
The gritty dark reboot of the Waltons with giant space bugs and space marines with big guns and bad attitudes?
I’d watch it.
It was an alien prequel???
How so? I did Not catch that at all. Nor could I understand why the giant alien hated them
http://www.imdb.com/news/ni28147436/
Yes, it is a prequel.
