20th Century Foxs Logan has been generating lots of positive buzz ahead of its premiere in theaters this week, but James Mangolds Wolverine movie isnt the only R-Rated franchise movie that Fox has waiting in the wings. The studio also has Alien: Covenant, director Ridley Scotts Alien prequel/Prometheus sequel a film that was originally slated to arrive in August of this year. Fox has since moved the R-Rated sci-fi/horror thriller up to a prime May date, suggesting the studio is confident about what Scott has delivered in his third go-round on the Alien franchise.

The Alien saga ended with the final scene of Aliens, with Ripley and Newt joining Hicks and Bishop in hypersleep for the journey back to Earth.
“Prometheus” really was a disappointment, especially as it was directed by Ridley Scott. It’s like they had 5 different ideas for what the aliens should be and attempted to write all of them into the script.
From what I can gather, the Noomi Rapace character is killed off early in the movie.
I was really disappointed when I found out Prometheus was an alien prequil. Still, I enjoyed it. Seeing her get to the homeworld would be very interesting. Maybe a lot more interesting than Prometheus.
The synthetic? Yes. Oh...yes.
I found the promise pretty intriguing. enjoyed it a lot. The self-surgery scene was also terrific.
I hope that’s not true. I thought she was pretty good.
"Neomorph? What? I ... I don't understand. Should I be in this?"
There are so many way this could go.
The aliens could have all died off. They aliens could have changed their mind about destroying mankind but the guys left behind on that planet just didn’t know. Jesus was one of them, etc.
This could go in any number of directions.
The engineers were giants.
The engineers were giants.
Wow. Comic book movies and remakes of sequels of remakes.
Must be Hollywood.
That’s pretty much what happened. That thing went through a lot of rewrites.
And they were jerks.
I like the alien surfing.
Reminds me of Beach Blanket Bingo.
Excited about this one! I know I’m in the minority, but I really like Prometheus — I think perhaps because of the incredible visuals. The way they ended it really made me want to see the planet Elizabeth and David were headed to.
And they were jerks.
That’s my take as well.
For me it was like getting a meal at a really expensive restaurant where the meat was a bit disappointing but the vegetables and the wine were amazing.
