Athlete activism and the NFL anthem protests in particular have received lots of looks from sports media, but the latest outlet to produce an in-depth documentary on the subject is a surprising one: NFL Network. The Conversation, which premiered Sunday night as part of the networks NFL 360 series (and which will re-air Monday at 9 p.m. Eastern), is an excellent hour-long examination of those protests from all sides. The documentary involves NFLNs Jeffri Chadiha travelling the country and talking to players who participated, fans, businessmen and police officers upset with them, military members, a law professor, a famed sociologist, and more, and its not dissimilar to something youd find on HBOs Real Sports or ESPNs Outside The Lines or E:60. Its definitely interesting to see a league network doing that, especially on such a controversial topic.

Can’t wait to watch this!!! (Satire)
Really stupid. The NFL is latching on to a highly political, highly divisive, ephemeral, niche social trend.
Its like they want to destroy links to their loyal customer base.
It’s baseball and hockey season, why bother to make it or see it. Let the room temperature IQ goons finds their rock to creep under and leave the public alone for a while. They were a bad enough influence on young adults and kids that it doesn’t need evaluation. Just needs silence for a while.

Nope. If anyone starts a “conversation” by gratuitously insulting my mother, my wife, my daughter, my country, or my flag, I’m not willing to engage is civil discourse with that as a starting point.
