Sure...lest we not forget...God DOES have a sense of humor! (And He will have the last laugh).
So, I assume that Heartbreak Ridge did not get best picture?
(Not that I expected Hollywood to vote that way)
So let me see if I’ve got this straight. You believe that God will not interfere with war, famine, and pestilence but will zap the Academy Award presentation? Really?
Moonlight better reflects Hollywood’s values.
Not sure about Hollywood types ever needing any help being confused more than they already are,
But yes, God does laugh,

Politics has insinuated itself into many new areas these days:
Hollywood had to award the substance of best picture but not the form, owing to political considerations and this was their creative way of doing that.
They felt they had to thread the needle.
I don’t feel sorry for them though because they created this crazy atmosphere.
The Hand of God would have been an 9.0 earthquake centered directly under the Oscars.
Wouldn’t God be able to more than that? Like wiping out the entire lot of the purveyors of decadence?
The botched announcement will totally overshadow and drowned out all the NeverTrump nonsense throughout the program which otherwise would have been the lead for the next three days.

They have cards with suitcases on both sides of the stage...each containing the winners.
The russians infiltrated with a spy to embarrass Hollywood. Waiting for that excuse.

Btw, Faye Dunaway is responsible for this screw up. Old Geezer Warren Beatty knew there was a problem. She basically took the card from him and didn’t bother to really read it like Beatty did.
Why would anyone who has to be somewhere Monday morning spend Sunday night watching actors bloviate? If I weer interested, I could just as easily look it up online, without the filibustering.
Can’t say. I did not watch them. But, i would be willing to take a shot in the dark and say , no.
No. I think it was staged to make sure that Moonlight winning was the big story in the news today.
Caustic social critic—Camille Paglia-—had it right. The grandeur of the awards is gone.
So they had to do something to get attention.
A Staged Hollywood publicity stunt to end all publicity stunts.
Staging stunts-—this is what they do for a living, for God’s sake.
And never forget these are the world’s best actors onstage in front of the cameras they live for ..... pretending they’re reading off cards.
Beatty’s fake pause...chirpy Dunaway’s chiming in act......then the show’s producers ready and waiting in the wings to storm in w/ the right card.
Some say Kimmel would rather the media be talking about his trash talk of the President...
Yeah, but Kimmel trashing Trump doesn’t sell tickets.
The film must be a real bomb w/ a big investment going down the drain.
Not to diminish having Al Sharpton on their backs and the specter of “racism” haunting them.
Flubbing the Oscars was a last-ditch effort to get a failed movie some momentum.
And the winner is..........
Al Sharpton!
I think God leaves us perfectly free to screw everything up by our own selves. When we finally realize and admit that we’re doing it all wrong and look around for answers, He offers us the way up and out.
