The German state of Bavaria is to ban the full face veil in schools, universities, polling stations and government workplaces, the regional government has announced.

They spent months crafting this state law (only affects Bavaria). Chief problem was that you had to avoid conflict with masquerade balls or fests where masks might be worn. So it involves primarily buildings...not the general public. I don’t think the summary list includes airports or hospitals.

Which is smart because you need your face shown clearly for any photo identification. I believe the burka is not as common as many think.
