As long as the progressives can divide the population into groups and show unequal outcome in order to justify laws that transfer wealth, there will be identity politics.

This is not at all limited to “race” (whatever that is).

It includes any way to divide people:
- Gender
- Weight
- History (slavery)
- Culture
- Religion
- National “origin”
- etc...

Don’t underestimate the power of victimhood. The progressives are excellent at exploiting it. They are creative and change the language itself to make it happen.

Assimilation into the "melting pot" was replaced with acculturation, "celebrating diversity" as a way to segregate people. I knew a boy whose father was Indian and mother a Brit, but they were from South Africa. The school forbid him from calling himself African but made him say he was Asian. He had visited India once, for a funeral.

The first step in dissolving the natural conflicts of divergent backgrounds is to make everyone learn English and de-fund outrageous multi-lingual education.
