The legacy of the exec order to put Japanese-Americans in internment camps has been condemned. And indeed, our government officially apologized and paid a token reparations fee to the internees.

As I recall, the Supreme Court upheld the internment as constitutional; not a violation of constitutional rights. As a wartime measure, it was considered legal at that time.

Could it happen again? Could Muslims be targeted and interred, as our war against radical Islam continues???

We did arrest and hang Nazi spies and saboteurs in WWII.

And we did summarily execute partisans caught without being in a uniform.


Could it happen again? Could Muslims be targeted and interred, as our war against radical Islam continues???

There would most likely need to be a declaration of war signed off on by the congress and I dont see that happening.
