And mansions sliding down the hills.
When I was young I’d catch rain water to rinse my hair.
Kind of a shame that CA doesn’t have another 30,000 acre feet of storage capacity. I bet that could grow a lot of almonds. Morons.
In TX you can tell between Pacific rain and ‘homegrown’, the EPAC drops are big and diamond-like when a ray of light hits them. Somehow, big, multi-plate and glass breakfasts taste better in the rain.
Haven’t been there for quite some time. Food and service used to be both good and reasonable. Sorry to hear it’s gone downhill.
My version had him peeing throuth a sieve.
Yep. The two places I have lived is NorCal and Texas. Raised in CA, then TX for about 20 yrs., back to CA for about 20 yrs., now back in TX. I like the weather in CA much better, and the beautiful country, but it’s been ruined by liberals, illegals, traffic, etc.
Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I’ve often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl don’t they warn ya
It pours, man it pours
Anderson Reservoir in San Jose county was within an inch of the top yesterday. Shasta is over 96% full as of last Sunday.
In Jan 1980, the weather forecast ws for about 1/4-1/2 inches of rain in LA. 10 days & 8 inches later, it finally stopped. I was lucky I only had to commute about 4 miles to work.
LOL- you might want to stay away from Florida during Hurricane season...
75 mph in the surround mountains. As to rain, we usually get 5+ inches per year, when not in a drought. Just over the hill from me they will get over 4 inches.
75 mph is getting up there... plus your neck of the woods has earthquakes which are scary - and landslides. Then again we have ‘sinkholes’... Probably a tie.
A steady 75 mph wind is nothing to sneeze at, that’s equivalent to a Category 1 hurricane.
But, we have no gators or pythons.
If this rain keeps up, you will.
True, but that also goes for every locale--not just L.A.--and every type of geo-action, including storms, droughts, floods, earthquakes, landslides, eruptions, fires, meteorites, solar storms, etc. Thunder always reminds me of just that. It's all a very minor sneak preview of the Great Tribulation. I trust you won't still be here!
Indeed, but it’s the frequency of all that you list that suggests to me His patience is wearing thin! Maranatha! Look up!
I completely agree—reputable calculations have suggested 1965ish as the date when the clock began for “this generation” not to pass away before the end. My two grandchildren will not have their own grandchildren.
