The House voted Thursday to make it easier for states to deny federal family-planning funds to groups such as Planned Parenthood that also perform abortions.
A rule imposed by the Obama administration says that states cannot deny funding to clinics for reasons unrelated to their ability to provide basic family planning services. Federal dollars cannot be used to pay for abortions, except in restricted circumstances.
Tennessee Rep. Diane Black and other Republicans said the rule, finalized in December, unfairly restricts how states can spend federal family-planning funds.

Excellent!
Why do states even need this bill?
Couldn’t they do this anyway?
I was listening to the rationale of the maniacs who were speaking against the bill. If Planned Parenthood wants to keep getting funding, all they have to do is stop providing abortions.
9th/10th turned on its head!
States should be re-affirming what Congress *CAN* spend taxpayer $$. The answer is: VERY few things (hint: PP isn’t one of ‘em)
Will it make it through the Senate? Collins, Murkowski, Graham, McTraitor.
I think this has to do with the Obama rule mentioned in the article.
