My Life Sucks Since Winning the Lottery
New York Post ^ | February 14, 2017 | Natalie O'Neill

Poor little rich girl.

The youngest person ever to win the lottery in Britain wants to sue the jackpot honchos who made her wealthy because the dough “ruined her life,” according to a report.

Jane Park, 21 — who won $1.25 million playing Euromillions at age 17 — says she was too young to cope with the sudden flood of wealth, according to the UK Mirror.

Don’t believe I’ll bother reading. One million is chicken feed and barely enough to invest and reap only the interest. If you are lucky over time it might grow into a nest egg that will sustain you over time. Someone without that knowledge could spend their way through a million in short order, and when it’s gone then what?

Let me guess. That money ruined her life so horribly she’s suing - to get more money.

Or, you could buy a house for cash and have life without substantial mortgage payments, only taxes on the house.

Everything you said, is what I would say. One million is nothing. And easily spent. The key to making good from the windfall, is not to spend it. You invest a portion in conservative investments that grow over a long period of time, outpacing inflation. You invest another portion into personal growth, in schooling, training and tools and or equipment, so that you can earn a livelihood that returns more money than the winnings. Most of it, you invest in a home so you don't have to pay rent, but don't go overboard, and get a home that just meets minimum needs. When you earn money from your own sweat, you can upgrade to a larger home. I doubt a 17-year-old is wise enough to follow common sense.

Words fail me.
“Hey girl! Put a shirt on, and BUTTON it up!”
So tired of all the slutty women.

She’s (formerly) rich, blonde and beautiful? This gal shouldn’t hold her breath waiting for an outpouring of sympathy for her ‘plight’. You don’y usually have to take a lump sum if you don’t want to. It can be doled out a few hundred tho’
at a time.
Off Topic; I hope that’s not how she dresses for a Job Interview!

Use the$1M as a 50% down on an apt building in a growing metroplex like Dallas.

You can see how she spent some of that money. I don’t understand nose rings one bit though....they totally take away from one’s looks.

If one million is nothing I can definitely say it wouldn’t take much (next to nothing I guess) to make me happy. I would love to own a newer, bigger house free and clear.

I know, it’s normal nowadays to see mammary fat sacks popping out of shirts and dresses. They’ve become fashion accessories. No need to publicly “play up the boobs” in such a way, unless you’re in a certain “profession.” If someone calls me prude, don’t care. I was raised to have modesty and self respect. (Not Amish but close lol)

What so many of these dummies do is: They win $5 million, and run out and buy a $5-million house.

Me too, I was raised to be modest. I am appalled regularly by what I see on TV. Usually I say “Oh I think she forgot her skirt!”, they show up on TV with a top but bottom half of cloth about the size of a postage stamp. Then they sit and cross their legs, and oh my goodness, it’s a free show for the world to see.

I also don’t care, if the secular world thinks I am too old fashioned about this. I am proud to uphold standards of decency.

Prudes Unite! LOL!
