De Blasio Deems Pizza ‘Sound Enough’ to Eat Like a New Yorker

Mayor Bill de Blasio spent part of the snow day proving to New Yorkers he can eat pizza without a fork.
“I have deemed the pizza at Lee’s Tavern on Staten Island structurally sound enough to eat without a fork and knife,” he tweeted on Thursday afternoon, along with a photo of himself holding a slice while dining with Borough President James Oddo.
Before lunch, de Blasio had toured some of Staten Island’s main roads with Oddo, Councilman Steven Matteo (R-Mid-Island) and Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia.

Looks like he’s been studying Kim Jong pointing at stuff, surprised he’s not pointing at that slice of pizza. I’ll bet there are plenty of pictures showing him pointing at roads from today.

I live here. Theres 4,000 pizzerias run by old Italian grandmothers and quite a few recent Italian immigrant cooks. Nobody goes lee’s to have some pizza. except for the alcoholics there that will eat anything
