Four years ago, my wife fell in love with a tiny cockapoo puppy in a pet store. Knowing that I didn’t care much for dogs, she called to see it it’d be OK. She wanted it so badly that I gave in. When she got home, she dumped that little ball of fur in my lap. A lifetime of anti hound feelings melted away. Four years down the road, and try as I may, he will have nothing to do with me.
